“Not only did students enjoy his show, but they loved his generosity and excitement to get involved in the event”
Mitch Clark didn’t grow up planning to be a country artist — he was chasing a future in golf. But fate had other plans. A guitar landed in his hands during college, and before long, the dorm room turned into his first stage. From open mics and coffee shops to bars, weddings, and packed college campuses, Mitch quickly found himself addicted to the high of storytelling through song.
What started as a side passion exploded into a career. In his very first year on the college circuit, Mitch played more than 80 campuses across the eastern U.S. and took home APCA’s National Male Solo Performer of the Year, National Entertainer of the Year, and Campus Activities Magazine’s Fastest Rising Star. By year two, he was already stacking more accolades — proving he wasn’t just passing through, he was here to stay.
Since moving to Nashville in 2017, Mitch has sharpened his pen in the songwriter’s trenches while continuing to build a devoted fan base with his blues-eyed soul meets modern country sound. His big break came in 2023, when he won Season 1 of Audible’s groundbreaking audio-only music competition Breakthrough, hosted by Daveed Diggs and featuring mentors Kelly Rowland and Sara Bareilles. His heartfelt performances and razor-sharp writing carried him all the way to the championship, cementing him as an artist to watch.
Now, Mitch is stepping into a new chapter — releasing the songs that fans have been waiting to hear. With a voice that can bring a bar crowd to tears or light up a festival stage, and lyrics that cut straight to the gut, Mitch Clark is proving he’s not just another songwriter in Nashville — he’s one of its brightest rising stars.
